XRP's market capitalization saw a significant surge of nearly $7 billion on September 21, as its price reached $1.49. This marks a 7.8% gain over just 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap data.
The cryptocurrency's value climbed from $86.73 billion to $93.49 billion between 3:00 p.m. (UTC) on September 20 and the same time on September 21. This increase is largely attributed to renewed speculation about Bank of America potentially using Ripple technology, as well as increased investor interest in institutional adoption.
The rally has also been fueled by whale activity picking up, which has led to a significant spike in trading volumes. On September 21, trading volume nearly doubled to $41.3 billion.
