XRP Nears Golden Cross Signal Amid Altcoin Rotation
XRP's price has been steadily increasing and is nearing a significant technical signal known as a golden cross. The token's 50-day simple moving average was at $1.197, closing in on the 150-day SMA of approximately $1.238. When the shorter average crosses above the longer one, it signals that momentum has shifted upward.
The current formation is generating attention due to its similarity to a prior setup that preceded a rally of over 63%, lifting XRP from around $2.20 to above $3.60 in the past. However, there are some concerns as the shorter exponential moving average (EMA) stands at $1.2860 while the longer-term EMA sits at $1.3539, indicating that the short-term average is still below the long-term one.
The XRP price has been trading near $1.33 to $1.35 and has pulled back slightly from a September 8 price of around $1.39. Ripple's broader ecosystem, including its RLUSD stablecoin expanding its footprint in cross-border payments, is also adding fundamental texture to the story.
