XRP Network Activity Explodes, Testing Key Resistance Zone
The XRP Ledger has seen a significant surge in network activity over the past two weeks. According to data from Santiment, active XRP addresses increased by 654.71%, rising from 47,180 to 356,070 between August 10 and August 24.
This increase marks a substantial jump in network participation and is often accompanied by higher price volatility. The surge coincides with XRP's recent recovery, which saw the token climb from around $1 to levels near $1.70 before consolidating around the $1.45-$1.50 area.
Despite this uptick in activity, technical signals are mixed. Analyst EGRAG Crypto notes that bearish MACD pressure is fading, but a move toward zero and a bullish MACD crossover would be needed to confirm a new uptrend.
The $1.50 zone remains an important resistance level for XRP, with large sell walls reported on Coinbase around this price. This could limit the next breakout attempt, creating a short-term battle between buyers seeking continuation and holders taking profits.
