XRP Options Skew Hits 9.3 Volatility Points Amid Strong Demand
XRP options are experiencing unusually strong demand for upside exposure, according to Coinbase Markets. The one-week 25-delta call-minus-put skew reached 9.3 volatility points, meaning traders are paying more for comparable XRP calls than puts. This reading is in the 95th percentile, making current positioning relatively unusual.
The skew had often remained below -10 points through late 2025 and early 2026. XRP has also gained about 15% over the past seven days, according to CoinGecko. Qadir AK, the founder of Coinpedia, has been covering the blockchain and cryptocurrency space since 2010.
