XRP Price Capped at $4 Despite Hope for Massive Gains
XRP investors are holding onto hope that their investment will soar to $10, $100, or even $1,000. However, a closer look at the cryptocurrency's history and current market trends suggests that its price may be capped at $4.
XRP has never traded above $3.84 in over 14 years of trading, which is considered ancient history in crypto terms. Despite explosive breakout performances in the past, such as a 275% surge in 2021 and a 238% increase in 2024, XRP's price remains stuck at around $1.50.
The problem lies in XRP's capped supply of 100 billion coins, which makes any calculation of its future market cap fraught with peril. If XRP were to hit $10, it would imply a market cap of over $1 trillion, surpassing Ethereum and making XRP the second-most valuable cryptocurrency.
The growing popularity of stablecoins, pegged 1:1 to the US dollar, is also contributing to XRP's stagnation. Stablecoins offer a more stable alternative for investors, as they do not oscillate wildly in price like XRP does.
