XRP Price Could Soar to $1,000 as Countries Flee US Treasuries

Macro analyst Jim Willie believes that XRP could be poised to capitalize on a brewing bond market crisis, potentially reaching $1,000 in value. He argues that as countries become increasingly wary of holding debt from nations seen as devaluing their own currency through heavy money printing, they'll seek out neutral settlement assets like XRP.

The crisis is tied partly to geopolitical tensions stemming from the Iran war. Willie points to a recent announcement by the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which confirmed that Stellar's XLM would help manage settlement for certain stocks and bonds, including those tied to the S&P 500 and Russell 2000.

However, Willie flags something not mentioned in the DTCC announcement: derivatives settlement. He estimates this market at around $4 trillion per year, with no confirmed asset assigned to handle it yet.
