XRP Price Dips as Institutional Demand Remains Weak
XRP's price has fallen 2.5% over the past 24 hours to around $1.03, underperforming the broader crypto market.
The token has been the weakest-performing major cryptocurrency this week, losing nearly 5.5%, leaving traders asking why XRP is falling and whether it can recover.
One reason for XRP's decline is that institutional demand has not fully recovered, according to SoSoValue. U.S. spot XRP ETFs recorded $3.45 million in net inflows on August 6, but this is still too small to offset recent selling pressure.
Total assets held by U.S. spot XRP ETFs have fallen from $993.38 million to $964.21 million, indicating that institutional exposure has continued to decline.
