XRP Price Drops 5% Amid High Leverage and Volatility
The price of XRP fell by 5% on August 26, dropping to $1.44 as traders reduced their exposure after a strong weekly rally.
Despite this decline, the token's price remained approximately 43.7% higher over seven days. The 24-hour range extended from $1.42 to $1.52, with trading volume reaching around $3.89 billion.
The recent rally allowed XRP to recover above a consolidation range that had contained its price in early August. However, the token remains more than 60% below its July 2025 record of $3.65.
A seven-month high in leverage ratio increases liquidation risk for XRP traders. The estimated leverage ratio on Binance reached approximately 0.21, its highest reading since January, according to CryptoQuant data.
