XRP Price Faces Key Technical Test as Regulatory Developments Unfold
XRP's price has been affected by recent network disruptions and regulatory developments. Former Ripple CTO David Schwartz dismissed concerns about the XRP Ledger, stating that minor issues had no real impact on the network.
Schwartz explained that his hub experienced two events where peer connections dropped and latency increased. However, he noted that median round-trip application-level latency only increased by less than 20%, with around 80% of peers unaffected.
The mention of XRP in the Federal Register alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana highlights its growing recognition as a digital commodity. The document proposes changes to Commodity-Based Trust Shares, allowing up to 15% of net asset value to be held in digital commodities like XRP.
Crypto analyst EGRAG Crypto is monitoring XRP's price for a breakout confirmation, with the 100 EMA on a three-day chart being a key technical test. According to EGRAG, simply touching the indicator would not be enough; a three-day close above it followed by a retest and bounce would suggest a market bottom.
