XRP Price Skyrockets to $1.48 After $2.2 Billion Institutional Buying Frenzy
The XRP market is showing signs of a reversal in its medium-term downtrend. After a brief decline, the token's price recovered to $1.48, posting a daily gain of around 7%. The price stabilized amid a massive wave of institutional buying and a broader strengthening of the altcoin market.
The asset's decline to a local low of $1.29 was primarily technical and emotional in nature. The retail sector's reaction to local regulatory debates in Washington proved short-lived, as XRP's underlying legal status as a digital commodity remains unchanged, supported by the 2023 court precedent and official regulatory guidance issued in March 2026.
Large holders stepped in to stabilize the price after it declined to psychological support levels. According to on-chain metrics, 1.54 billion XRP was withdrawn to institutional addresses within 96 hours of the dip. The total amount of liquidity directed toward buying the dip is estimated at $2.2 billion.
