XRP Price Tumbles Below $1.45 Amid Leverage Unwinding
XRP's price has fallen below $1.45 after peaking at nearly $1.70 last week, but it remains up more than 27% over seven days.
The token's estimated leverage ratio on Binance climbed to its highest level since January at about 0.21, indicating increased leveraged exposure as the price climbed from around $1 in mid-August.
Futures open interest remained near $3.45 billion, while 24-hour futures volume reached roughly $6.4 billion, showing derivatives activity far exceeded direct token trading during the pullback.
About $18.9 million in XRP positions were liquidated over 24 hours, including nearly $15 million in long positions, adding selling pressure as leveraged positions began to unwind.
