XRP Price Tumbles Despite Record-Breaking ETF Inflows
XRP's price surged to an all-time high of $3.65 in July 2025, following a settlement between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that had clouded the token's legal standing since 2020.
The agreement resolved allegations that XRP sales constituted unregistered securities offerings, lifting regulatory uncertainty that had suppressed price discovery for years.
Since then, the emergence of spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has become a catalyst for growth. The first U.S. spot XRP ETF, REX-Osprey's XRPR, began trading in September 2025 and seven such funds were trading in the U.S. as of May 2026.
The funds have drawn roughly $1.71 billion in cumulative net inflows by mid-September 2026, but the price has not followed. XRP traded near $1.52 on Sept. 27, 2026, about 58% below its record high.
