XRP Price Under Pressure as ETF Inflows Drop 93%
XRP's price is under pressure due to weakening institutional demand, as evidenced by a significant drop in ETF inflows. According to recent data, XRP ETF inflows plummeted 93% to just $1.01 million, down from $14.86 million a week earlier.
This decline marks the weakest performance among major crypto ETFs, with total XRP ETF net assets slipping to around $964 million from $988 million. In contrast, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw inflows of $754 million and $195 million, respectively.
On-chain data shows that large XRP wallets holding 100 million to 1 billion tokens increased their supply share from 10.6% to 11.99%. Smaller whales holding 10 million to 100 million XRP also sold earlier before turning back to buying on August 6.
Grayscale's XRP Trust added another source of selling pressure, with 103.41 million XRP worth about $180.78 million in net outflows during the first half of 2026. CoinGlass recorded $9.48 million in XRP liquidations, with almost 98% coming from long positions.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel expects another 20%-40% downside for XRP's price and sees $0.85-$0.65 as a potential long-term accumulation zone. He plans to scale into XRP gradually, with long-term targets of $3, $5, $7, and $10+.
