XRP Rockets to $1.48 Amid $2.2 Billion Institutional Buying Frenzy
Ripple's XRP token has seen a significant recovery after a brief decline in its price, reaching $1.48 and posting a daily gain of around 7%. This comes as the market is showing signs of a reversal in its medium-term downtrend.
The price stabilized amid a massive wave of institutional buying, with a total of $2.2 billion in liquidity directed toward buying the dip, offsetting selling pressure and stabilizing daily trading volume at around $92.6 million.
The asset's decline to a local low of $1.29 was primarily technical and emotional in nature, driven by retail sector reaction to local regulatory debates in Washington. However, this proved short-lived as XRP's underlying legal status remains unchanged, supported by the 2023 court precedent and official regulatory guidance issued in March 2026.
The weekly timeframe on Bitstamp confirms a shift in market balance in favor of buyers, with a breakout above the long-term descending channel. Technical analysis suggests that if XRP can sustainably move above $1.50, it could accelerate capital rotation from Bitcoin into liquid altcoins, potentially reaching medium-term targets around $1.80.
