XRP Seeks Momentum in 2026 with Improved Institutional Support
XRP has been experiencing a prolonged correction period since its August 2025 peak. Many investors are wondering if the token will rally in 2026, but history shows that sharp rallies are often followed by periods of consolidation before the next major trend emerges.
Despite the current frustration for investors, XRP has a strong foundation to support long-term growth. The launch of spot ETFs has introduced institutional demand, with more than $1.5 billion in cumulative inflows and over 769 million XRP held by early March 2026. Goldman Sachs disclosed a $153.8 million position in spot XRP ETFs, becoming the largest publicly known institutional holder at the time.
The XRP Ledger is also expanding its use cases beyond cross-border payments, with financial institutions increasingly using the network to tokenize real-world assets. Ripple's investment in Notabene connects the RLUSD stablecoin to a payment network processing over $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. Regulatory clarity has reduced uncertainty, and institutional trading infrastructure has improved.
