XRP Sees Busy Week Ahead with Key Events and Institutional Demand
XRP is entering a busy period with four major events on the horizon. The first is XRP Seoul, a conference that will bring together banks, financial institutions, and Ripple teams to discuss using the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for cross-border payments and other financial services. RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, has recently crossed a $2 billion market cap, and discussions around XRPL's automated market makers (AMMs) and compliance features could increase interest from Asian financial institutions.
The second event is the completion of the planned acquisition of Evernorth by Ripple-linked entities on October 7. Evernorth operates in digital infrastructure and asset management, and its integration could add institutional custody and real-world asset (RWA) infrastructure to the broader ecosystem. This could further connect XRP with traditional financial services.
On October 8, XRPN is scheduled to begin trading on the Nasdaq, providing another investment route for XRP investors. With existing XRP investment products attracting strong demand, attention will turn to whether XRPN can bring more demand through traditional brokerage accounts.
The week will end with a major technical event on October 9, when the XRP Ledger mainnet upgrade window is scheduled to open. The upgrade includes improvements linked to multi-signature verification and decentralized verifier networks (DVNs). Technical analyst Dark Defender sees heavy resistance near $1.60, where around 2.5 billion XRP could act as a seller wall. A break above it could open targets at $1.88 and $2.90.
