$XRP Sees Network Activity Surge Amid Price Breakout
XRP has witnessed a significant surge in network activity, with transactions processed per ledger increasing by a whopping 187.9%. This anomaly is coupled with $XRP's recent price breakout, indicating that the network is handling more activity at each ledger close despite a decline in key metrics.
According to recent data, transactions per ledger stand at 189.29, which is the network-activity indicator with the largest positive change. The number of payments has increased by 19.3% to approximately 568,100, indicating high transactional demand.
However, other metrics paint a different picture. Successful transactions have decreased by 16.3% to 914,100, while total transactions have fallen by 26.4% to 994,000. The number of closed ledgers has declined by 74.4% to 5,300.
This decline in ledger closes contributes to the massive increase in transactions per ledger, as fewer recorded ledger closures result in a higher average number of transactions included in each ledger.
The value transferred via payments has significantly decreased, with a payment volume drop of 82.2% to approximately 70.8 million $XRP. This suggests that more individual payments are being processed by the network at a lower average value.
