XRP Set to Soar on Busy October Schedule
XRP is poised to start October with a flurry of events that could shape its future. The first major development is XRP Seoul, set to take place on October 3, where banks, financial institutions, and Ripple teams will gather in South Korea to discuss using the XRP Ledger for cross-border payments and other financial services. The event is expected to focus on the adoption of automated market makers and compliance features, which could attract Asian financial institutions. XRP's stablecoin, RLUSD, has recently crossed a $2 billion market cap.
Just four days later, on October 7, the planned acquisition of Evernorth by Ripple-linked entities is scheduled to reach completion. Evernorth operates in digital infrastructure and asset management, and its integration could add institutional custody and real-world asset infrastructure to the broader ecosystem. This could further connect XRP with traditional financial services.
On October 8, XRPN is set to begin trading on the Nasdaq, providing another XRP investment route. This comes as XRP investment products are already attracting strong demand, with Bitwise's XRP ETF recording $676.2 million in inflows and Franklin Templeton's XRPZ reaching $500.9 million.
The week will end with a major technical event on October 9, when the XRP Ledger mainnet upgrade window is scheduled to open. The upgrade includes improvements linked to multi-signature verification and decentralized verifier networks. The U.S. SEC's crypto guidance FAQs have addressed routine software updates on fully functional networks, stating that such changes do not automatically create investment contracts under the Howey test.
