XRP Surges 32% From $1 as ETF Inflows and Stablecoin Activity Boost Token
XRP has made a significant recovery from its price below $1 in August, with a gain of approximately 32% for the month. This would mark its strongest monthly performance since July 2025, when it advanced about 35%. The token has been trading near $1.40 as of press time, down around 5% over the past 24 hours after climbing to $1.70 during last week's broader crypto market surge.
The recovery is attributed in part to stronger demand for US spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and rising stablecoin activity on the XRP Ledger. According to CryptoSlate's data, institutional investors have continued to pour money into XRP ETFs, with $23.87 million in net inflows recorded on August 25. This marks the largest daily inflow since May 11, extending their run of positive flows to nine consecutive trading sessions.
Additionally, Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin has seen significant growth on XRPL, reaching over $2 billion in circulating supply last week. The token's expansion stands out against a softer backdrop for the broader stablecoin market, with total stablecoin supply across platforms declining by around 6% from its May peak.
Large holders of XRP have also become increasingly active, moving billions of tokens through Binance in recent weeks. However, their activity has been two-way, with both deposits and withdrawals reaching record levels. This complicates attempts to characterize whales as outright buyers or sellers, leaving the direction of overall whale positioning unclear.
