XRP Surges 67% in a Week, Reaching $1.60 Amid Rising Optimism
XRP has experienced a significant surge in price over the past week, breaking through the $1.60 level and gaining approximately 67% in value.
This rapid increase began on January 21st, when XRP's intraday trading on Binance's USDT market crossed $1.60, marking a 26% gain from the previous day.
The price of XRP has been on an upward trajectory since January 18th, when it was trading at around $1.00 (approximately 1,400 won). Over the next few days, the price rose by 14.7%, and then continued to climb, eventually reaching a 60% gain in just four days.
This surge is attributed to several factors, including the U.S. Treasury Department's doubling of its long-term Treasury buyback program, which has pushed Treasury yields lower and increased liquidity expectations.
President Donald Trump's emphasis on pro-crypto policies and the CLARITY Act also contributed to the rally, as investors became more optimistic about the future of digital assets.
