XRP Surges Ahead as Better Crypto Buy Than Cardano
Ripple's XRP is emerging as the better buy compared to Cardano (ADA) due to its growing adoption by financial institutions and development of new features.
XRP has been gaining traction in tokenized real-world assets, with tradeable tokens reaching $323 million in value by July 21, a significant increase from $130 million a year ago. The XRP Ledger settled its first cross-border tokenized U.S. Treasury redemption in under five seconds on May 6.
Additionally, the seven XRP spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have absorbed $1.4 billion in cumulative net capital inflows since their launch, indicating real demand for XRP itself.
In contrast, Cardano's ecosystem is shrinking, and it faces challenges attracting new capital or users. The chain's throughput capacity will increase with the Van Rossem upgrade, but even at 1,000 transactions per second (TPS), it will be relatively small compared to other major chains.
