XRP Surges as Ripple Ecosystem Expands Beyond Payments
XRP is making a comeback after pushing past the $1.40 mark, shifting attention beyond its traditional payments use case toward a broader XRPL ecosystem.
According to Clarissa Yorke, Partner and KOL Manager at AgencyLaser, XRP is 'getting interesting again' due to its latest price rebound and the growth of the XRP Ledger's financial infrastructure.
The latest XRPL upgrade added an updated lending framework that supports closed-ended vaults and cash-basis accounting, expanding the network's toolkit to support credit markets, pooled liquidity, and tokenized financial products.
Ripple-backed institutions are building around this direction, including an institutional credit fund designed to issue working-capital loans in Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin to fintech and payments companies on the XRP Ledger.
