XRP Surges as SEC Verdict Clears Path for Institutional Investment
The SEC verdict has finally brought clarity to XRP's legal status in the United States. With this ruling, Ripple secured an official clear legal status for its token, making it one of the few altcoins with no regulatory risks.
This change has been a major factor behind the surge in institutional demand for XRP. According to 21Shares, U.S. spot ETFs have doubled their XRP holdings since the beginning of the year, bringing their investments to nearly $200 million.
The market's absorption of these large sell-offs is another significant point. For example, when Goldman Sachs sold its $153.8 million position at the start of the year, the market absorbed the entire volume within just two weeks without a noticeable decline in price.
XRP's on-chain turnover has also reached a record high of $500 billion over the past 12 months, with notable financial metrics supporting the XRPL economy. The network currently hosts the native RLUSD stablecoin and tokenized U.S. Treasuries, with significant volume.
