XRP Use in AI Wallets Drops 105% Behind Ripple Stablecoin
The usage of XRP in AI wallets has decreased significantly behind Ripple's USD stablecoin RLUSD, according to data from Bitget. Over the past seven days, AI-driven scripts processed over 554,000 transactions, but spent only 209 XRP.
In contrast, the transaction volume in RLUSD reached 602.27 units during the same period, demonstrating a clear shift towards stable, fiat-linked assets over volatile native tokens. This represents a 105% discrepancy in transactional volume between the two assets.
The preference for RLUSD among AI agents is linked to XRP's price movements, which have proven restrictive for software programs executing frequent payments due to its volatility. With the current exchange rate, bots are finding it more economical to transact in RLUSD for operational efficiency and predictability.
