XRP Users Can Now Borrow Against Their Tokens with New Virtual VISA Card
U.S. users can now access spending power through a virtual VISA card linked to Uphold, without selling their XRP tokens upfront.
The Exa Card allows borrowers to use XRP as collateral for a credit line that can be spent at over 150 million merchant locations worldwide, according to Dr. Kamilah Stevenson.
This mechanism is a crypto-native version of securities-backed lending, where users lock their XRP as collateral, borrow against it, and repay the loan in cash, crypto, or other assets.
Availability, borrowing rates, and terms vary by U.S. state, with the card offering no annual fee or credit check and repayment in up to eight fixed installments.
