XRP vs DOGE: Which Cryptocurrency is More Likely to Reach Its Target First?
The cryptocurrency market is abuzz with speculation about which asset will reach its target first. Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) needs a tenfold increase to reach $1, while XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) requires only a threefold rise to hit $5. As of September 27, 2026, Dogecoin is trading at around 10 cents and XRP at approximately $1.53.
Dogecoin's uncapped supply adds roughly 5 billion new coins annually, creating constant selling pressure that makes sustaining a tenfold rally significantly harder. In contrast, XRP has gained 46% over the past 90 days and pulled in $75 million in institutional ETF inflows, giving it stronger momentum than Dogecoin.
Currently, Dogecoin's market capitalization is approximately $16.8 billion, based on its price and roughly 171.8 billion coins in circulation. If Dogecoin reaches $1, its market value would jump to around $172 billion, representing about 5.9% of the current $2.91 trillion cryptocurrency market.
On the other hand, XRP has around 62.9 billion coins valued at about $96.6 billion. If XRP reaches $5, its market cap would rise to about $314 billion, which accounts for roughly 10.8% of the total crypto market.
