XRP Whales Absorb Massive Influx at $1 Level Amid ETF Decline

XRP whales are increasingly accumulating tokens at the $1 level, offsetting the decline in institutional interest that pushed exchange-traded funds' net assets below $1 billion. The latest purchases bring the total number of XRP held by these large long-term investors to over 452 million, with their combined balances reaching 12.18 billion XRP.

The influx of new XRP is replacing the liquidity lost from ETFs, which have stalled in terms of inflows, attracting only a symbolic $3.27 million during the first half of August. The exchange-traded funds' net assets under management fell to $942.25 million, officially dropping below the $1 billion threshold.

The whales' reaction to the $1 level has kept the price near this area, as the token touched a major support line that has held since late 2024 on the weekly chart. The average daily number of active network addresses jumped from 26,400 to 35,700, although the number of new users remains stagnant at approximately 2,260 per day.
