XRP Whales Keep Buying as Price Falls: Is a Bull Rally Coming?
XRP whales have been buying up millions of tokens despite the cryptocurrency's price falling to $0.99 on August 11, sparking questions about whether a bull rally is coming.
According to Santiment, large holders added over 380 million XRP in the week leading up to August 9, worth around $390 million at today's price. This buying spate has been ongoing for months, with wallets holding at least a million XRP growing by 32 in three months.
The market capitalization of XRP has fallen by 29% over the same period, but whales are continuing to buy up tokens at a pace that exceeds supply. In fact, nearly 3 billion XRP is sitting near $1.06, which could be a significant barrier for any potential price increases.
Despite this, some analysts believe that the whale buying activity could signal an upcoming rally. The Tom DeMark Sequential indicator has flashed a buy signal on XRP, and its previous calls have been accurate in predicting price movements. However, it's worth noting that the indicator also produced a sell signal in April 2025, which was followed by a 57% drop in price.
