$XRP Whales Set New Record with 1.6B Token Accumulation
The XRP token has seen significant accumulation by large whales in recent weeks. Between September 20th and 25th, whale addresses holding between 10 million and 100 million $XRP added over 1.42 billion tokens to their balance. By the end of September, this total had increased to 13.93 billion $XRP, making it a record high for these whales.
According to data from Santiment, whale addresses have been rapidly growing in number since August. As of September 20th, there were 392 such addresses, up from just 355 on August 19th. The majority of this growth came from addresses holding between 10 million and 100 million $XRP.
The accumulation spree has slowed down amid the current pullback, but it could help maintain key support levels if the correction persists.
