XRP Wins Big Spot in Cryptex ETF Index Amid Institutional Push
Two recent US fund registration filings have highlighted growing institutional attention toward XRP. The Cryptex Digital Market Cap ETF, a proposed multi-asset cryptocurrency fund, submitted a pre-effective amendment on September 11, listing XRP as an eligible component with a 4.36% weighting in the underlying Cryptex Digital Market Cap Index as of September 8.
Cryptex Finance is a digital asset index provider that has developed a multi-asset index designed to track the overall cryptocurrency market. The ETF, if approved, is planned to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker BAGZ and is not a single-asset XRP fund.
Other major cryptocurrencies hold leading index positions, with Bitcoin at 25.83% and Ethereum at 13.55%. Chainlink, Solana, and Avalanche have respective index weights of 3.15%, 2.80%, and 2.13%.
The Teucrium short XRP fund's effectiveness date has been pushed back to October 11, 2026, according to a separate filing on September 11 by Listed Funds Trust. The new target date is set for the fund's launch.
