XRP Withdrawal Activity Surges as Price Volatility Hits Three-Month Low

Withdrawal activity has spiked across major cryptocurrency exchanges, signaling that investors may be holding onto XRP rather than selling it. According to CryptoQuant analyst Amr Taha, Coinbase recorded the largest increase in withdrawal wallets, with a seven-day net depositing/withdrawing wallets metric falling to -10,900 on August 4.

This is significantly higher than its previous low of -3,200 in June 2025. Binance and Crypto.com also saw increases in withdrawal activity, although not as pronounced as Coinbase's. The simultaneous decline across all three exchanges suggests a widespread trend.

The metric measures the number of wallets that deposit and withdraw, rather than the amount of XRP transferred, making it a strong indicator of user behavior. As investors take their XRP off exchanges, it may be a sign that they plan to hold onto it rather than selling.
