XRPL 3.3.0 Update Brings Privacy and Atomic Transaction Tools
The XRP Ledger has released version 3.3.0, a major update that brings several protocol changes closer to possible mainnet activation. The new version includes ConfidentialTransfer, which shields Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) balances and transfer amounts while preserving compliance access for authorized parties.
Another key feature is BatchV1_1, which restores atomic transaction functionality after an earlier version was halted due to a security flaw. Sponsor allows third-party fee coverage while users retain full account control, and DynamicMPT lets issuers modify selected token properties later.
However, it's essential to note that validator approval is necessary before these features can be activated on the mainnet. The update does not activate these features immediately but provides node operators with code needed for amendment decisions.
