XRPL Eyes $30B in Tokenized Assets as Institutional Adoption Grows
Ripple's XRP Ledger (XRPL) is expanding its capabilities to support institutional use cases, according to a recent XRP Seoul event. The event highlighted the growing adoption of XRPL, with Ripple President Monica Long discussing the shift towards on-chain financial infrastructure.
The discussion covered various topics, including tokenized money market funds, treasury-backed repos, stablecoin payments, and 24/7 collateral mobility. Ripple is also enhancing XRPL with permissioned privacy features, lending, and yield applications using XRP and RLUSD, as well as integrated DEX payments.
The event emphasized XRPL's growth targets, including an increase in tokenized real-world assets from $6 billion to $30 billion. Additionally, AI agent transactions are projected to rise from 10 million to 100 million as institutional use of XRPL expands.
