XRPL Issues Emergency Update Amid Security Concerns
XRPL has released an emergency update to address security-sensitive issues within its XRP Ledger network. The update, version 3.4.1 of xrpld, was made available on September 25 and includes a new fixBatchV1_2 amendment that has secured validator supermajority support.
The update is critical for server operators maintaining nodes on the XRPL network, as any node operator who hasn't upgraded to xrpld version 3.4.1 by October 9 faces the risk of becoming amendment blocked.
This status would result in the affected node falling out of synchronization with the rest of the network, potentially impacting services dependent on up-to-date ledger data.
