XRPL Network Activity Surges 60% as Transactions Per Ledger Reach New Heights
The XRP Ledger (XRPL) network has seen a significant surge in activity, with transactions per ledger increasing by 60% over a 24-hour period. According to data from XRPScan, transactions per ledger reached approximately 128.4, which is well above the 30-day average of 109.88.
This metric tracks the average number of transactions included in each validated XRPL ledger and provides insight into network demand. A sustained climb in transactions per ledger indicates intensified network activity, with XRPL showing repeated bursts reaching 150 to 200 transactions per ledger since August.
While a higher throughput does not necessarily translate to increased demand for XRP tokens or an immediate influence on the price, a persistent rise in activity over several days carries greater importance than a brief single-day surge. Fundamentally, network expansion supports the broader case for XRP when these metrics hold above their historical baselines for extended periods.
