XRPL Operators Told To Update Software Amid Validator Manifest Flooding Issue

XRP Ledger operators have been advised to update their software to xrpld v3.2.1 following the release of a hotfix that addresses validator manifest flooding.

The issue caused high memory and bandwidth usage on affected nodes, but did not disrupt consensus or transaction processing.

Validator manifests play a crucial role in identifying and managing validator keys, and the flood can lead to unnecessary resource consumption, affecting node performance, monitoring costs, and reliability.

XRPL has two upgrade tracks: v3.2.1 is focused on stability, while v3.3.0 is expected to bring new amendments that require validator approval.
