XRPL Releases Ninth Test Version of Smart Escrow Devnet

The XRP Ledger (XRPL) has released the ninth test version of its Smart Escrow Devnet, a programmable collateral system. The RippleX team has rebuilt the new architecture, replacing C++ with Rust for WebAssembly integration. This transition has reportedly boosted performance by 30% to 50% for every core system call.

The Smart Escrow structure on the Ledger aims to enable conditional release of funds based on approval, compatibility, and oracle data. Currently, $XRP is trading at $1.51.
