XRP's AI-Powered Payment Hub Sees Record-Breaking Transactions
The XRPL AI Hub has recorded almost 4.5 million transactions on the XRP Ledger, but only a few thousand tokens have been settled.
According to the dashboard run by t54 labs, the hub has tracked 4,491,820 all-time transactions and cumulative settlements of 5,836.71 XRP and 4,125.29 RLUSD, Ripple's dollar stablecoin.
The figures cover the hub's activity, not all payments on the ledger. For XRP holders, this distinction is crucial: the hub's activity establishes frequent payment processing, but its counters alone cannot establish substantial demand for the token.
Agents can use XRP or RLUSD to pay for API calls, AI inference, and other digital services. XRPL fees still require XRP, which are destroyed rather than distributed to holders or validators.
The adoption argument for XRP's price relies on sustained token demand, not just transaction counts. The September snapshot shows that the hub is recording micropayments, but whether those payments grow into substantial XRP settlement activity remains to be seen.
