$XRP's Elusive $10 Target Remains Unmet Nearly Nine Years Later
The $10 price target for XRP, first mentioned in community forecasts during the 2017 bull market, remains unmet nearly nine years later.
In December 2017, a participant on Reddit's r/Ripple forum predicted XRP would reach $10 by December 2018, characterizing that estimate as conservative. However, Ripple's fourth-quarter 2017 markets report noted that the American Express/Santander announcement and a Korean banking initiative highlighted during the quarter did not involve XRP.
In 2026, several forecasters, including Ash Crypto and Crypto Cup, predicted XRP would reach $10, but none of these predictions have materialized. As of September 24, 2026, XRP's recorded highs remain below $4 on both CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.
The larger circulating supply of XRP since the original forecasts also puts the long-running target in context. Applying a $10 price to today's circulating supply would imply a market capitalization of approximately $628.8 billion, compared to around $387.4 billion at the time of the 2017 forecast.
