XRP's Institutional Traction Gains Momentum as Price Remains Steady
The XRP Ledger has gained significant attention in recent days due to its growing institutional adoption. The Bank for International Settlements (BIS), often described as the central bank for the world's central banks, has published a working paper detailing a system that uses the XRP Ledger to timestamp and anchor proof of economic statistics.
The system involves creating a digital fingerprint for each dataset and recording its summary on the ledger. This allows anyone to verify whether data is genuine and untouched using just the file itself and one lookup on the ledger. The BIS emphasizes that this is a proof-of-concept running on a test network, not a live production system.
XRP ETFs have also seen significant growth, pulling in money for an 11th consecutive trading session. This has added close to $170 million, pushing cumulative net inflows since launch to roughly $1.68 billion. The funds hold around 1.7% of the total supply in circulation.
Despite this institutional momentum, the XRP price remains steady but hasn't fully caught up yet. In contrast, Bitcoin ETFs snapped their nine-day run of inflows during the same period, while XRP's funds continued to add money without a single red day.
