XRP's New Yield Option: Will it Boost the Price?
XRP holders now have another option to earn yield, but the coin has still dropped about 51% over the last year. Doppler Finance has partnered with Flare Network to give XRP holders direct access to Flare's FXRP vaults through Doppler. The partnership was announced at the XRP SEOUL 2026 conference on October 3, 2026. However, the vaults are not yet available through Doppler, and no launch date or yield rate has been revealed.
Doppler operates the largest decentralized finance (DeFi) application on the XRP Ledger, facilitating lending and trading without traditional banks. The company claims that this partnership will allow XRP to be used as 'working capital.' Despite the announcement, XRP did not see a price increase. As of October 4, it trades around $1.50, down 2.8% over the past week.
It appears unlikely that the series of yield launches throughout the year will lift XRP's price. The benefits of these products primarily go to depositors, who also face the risks associated with smart contracts. Doppler must turn the promise of 'soon' into an actual launch date, along with a clear yield rate, fee schedule, and minimum deposit requirements, to generate the demand needed to boost XRP's price.
