XRP's Path to $5 Looks Easier Than Dogecoin's Quest for $1
Dogecoin and XRP are both far from their price targets. To hit $1, Dogecoin needs to increase by 920%, surpassing its all-time high of around 74 cents in 2021. In contrast, XRP requires a rise of about 227% to reach $5, exceeding its previous records of around $3.84 in January 2018 and $3.67 in July 2025.
XRP has shown stronger momentum than Dogecoin in recent months, gaining 46% over the past 90 days and 41.6% over the last 60 days. This trend indicates that XRP's recovery started earlier and has been more consistent. Meanwhile, Dogecoin has increased by 38.8% over 60 days and 34.8% over 90 days.
Despite recent rallies, both cryptocurrencies are still nursing significant losses, with Dogecoin down 17.7% for 2026 and 58.2% over the past year. XRP has also faced challenges, down 17.3% for 2026 and 45.8% year-over-year.
