XRP's Quantum Shield Offers 35x Protection Over Bitcoin
XRP's Key Rotation Feature Offers Quantum Shield Bitcoin Lacks
A recent quantum vulnerability audit of the XRP Ledger found that only 0.03% of its circulating supply is exposed to future threats, compared to an estimated 35% of Bitcoin's.
The audit, conducted by a validator known as Vet, revealed that roughly 300,000 XRP accounts holding 2.4 billion tokens have never sent a transaction and are therefore quantum-safe by default.
However, two dormant whale accounts were identified as exposed, with one holding 11 million XRP and the other 10 million.
The XRPL's built-in key rotation feature allows users to swap their signing keys without moving funds, providing an added layer of defense against quantum threats. The ledger's escrow time-lock mechanism also offers protection, as it requires a specific amount of time to pass before transactions can be accessed.
