XRP's Rocky Road Ahead: A Shift towards RLUSD?
Ripple's XRP token has regained its value after a rough year, trading near $1.50 following Bitcoin's resurgence above $80,000.
The token's long-term prospects depend on more than just the price of Bitcoin or regulatory changes.
XRP's thesis relies heavily on Ripple's success in international finance, and there are two possible scenarios: one where XRP is used to move hundreds of billions of dollars across borders, saving time and money; or another where Ripple's stablecoin, RLUSD, becomes the go-between for currency conversions, rendering XRP second fiddle.
The latter scenario seems more likely as Ripple promotes integrating stablecoin payments into businesses, rather than XRP itself. By 2031, it is predicted that XRP's price will be back below $1.
