The recognition comes after the company's growth in financial technology and global payments infrastructure. Yellow Card was named alongside fintech companies including TerraPay, bKash, and Wio Bank. The nomination is a result of the company's Grand Prix win in the Payments category at the inaugural Money Awards in 2025 and its recent expansion into Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and North America.

Yellow Card Co-Founder and CEO Chris Maurice stated that the company has moved past proving the value of stablecoins and is now focused on scaling stablecoin infrastructure. The company is working on integrating the technology into the way businesses, banks, and financial institutions move money across international markets.
