Yoink Bot Foils $7.8M Safe Wallet Exploit with MEV Heist

An Ethereum MEV bot named Yoink successfully intercepted an attempted $7.8 million exploit on a Safe wallet, taking nearly 19 ETH to secure the first transaction position in the same block.

The exploit was due to weak authorization checks in an executor contract linked to a Safe module, allowing unauthorized calls through a trusted route.

Yoink's transaction succeeded while the original exploit reverted, highlighting the bot's role in capturing maximal extractable value (MEV) by prioritizing transaction order.
