Youthful Appetite for Crypto: Majority of Indian Investors Under 35
Nearly three-quarters of Indian crypto investors are under 35 years old, according to a recent study by CoinSwitch. The research analyzed data from the April-June quarter and found that investors in this age group account for 50.5% of the platform's investor base.
The study also revealed that while younger investors are driving entry into the crypto market, older investors tend to be more inclined to buy than sell. In fact, those aged 46 and above recorded a buying conviction ratio of 1.14, significantly higher than any other age group.
CoinSwitch's co-founder Ashish Singhal noted that India is witnessing a shift in how people view cryptocurrency, from seeing it as a new asset class to developing a more nuanced understanding of its potential uses.
