Yuga Labs Warns Users to Revoke Approval for Ethereum and ApeChain Payment Processors
Users of Ethereum and ApeChain have been warned to revoke approvals for two payment processors following a security warning issued by Yuga Labs' blockchain vice president Quit. The warning came after suspected security issues involving NFT marketplace activity, where white-hat hackers transferred 3,832 NFTs valued at about $1.5 million from hundreds of wallets to an address beginning with 0x71cf.
The transfers were described as a 'white-hat action' and the NFTs are currently safe and being held at the given address. However, Quit stressed that users should still revoke contract approvals to prevent unauthorized asset transfers in the future.
The approval warning covers both Ethereum and ApeChain, extending the issue beyond a single network or marketplace transaction. Users can remove their approvals through tools such as revoke.cash.
