Morgan Creek Capital Management founder and CIO Mark Yusko has made significant changes to his cryptocurrency portfolio. In an interview on Crypto Banter, he revealed that he sold about 90% of his Solana holdings after a nearly 1,000-fold return.

The gain was earned through an early investment in Multicoin Capital's first fund, and Yusko praised the co-founders for their selection. However, he decided to exit due to signs of market over-optimism, specifically citing a planned $2.5 million party in Amsterdam as a red flag.

Yusko emphasized that his decision was not based on a lack of faith in Solana's technology, but rather the economic model of most altcoins failing to reward token holders.

In contrast, he has allocated about half of his personal net worth to Bitcoin and related assets. He holds both physical Bitcoin and stocks in companies that hold the cryptocurrency, including Strategy (MSTR.US) stock.
