Yusko Warns: Bitcoin May Retest Low $60K Before $100K
Veteran investor Mark Yusko is cautioning that Bitcoin may retest its lows in the $60,000s before reaching its next major target of $100,000. Despite a recent price increase of around 13% over the past week, Yusko believes there's still more downside to come.
In an interview with Money Talks on September 22, Yusko pushed back against claims that Bitcoin's four-year cycle has broken. He argued that it peaked almost precisely in line with historical cycles and that recent price action does not provide enough evidence to declare the correction over.
Yusko pointed out that Bitcoin became 'super, super overbought' during its recent short squeeze, which he said can still resemble bear-market behavior. He noted, 'I don't think we're out of the woods.'
Based on previous cycles, Yusko identified early October as a potential window for the cycle bottom, but expects any final decline to be less severe than previous bear markets due to reduced leverage.
